Join us for Community Connections with Bettendorf author Tom Miller. Tom will be giving a presentation he calls the “Class of 1964” reviewing the post-World War II years and the historical events that shaped the Baby Boom generation. His new novel, A Place to Rest takes place during the Baby Boom years (1946-1964) and he will be using excerpts from the book to illustrate points in the presentation. Copies of A Place to Rest will be available for sale after the program.
Tom Miller is retired from Scott Community College where he taught history for twenty years. He has written six books for middle-grade readers and is a former member of the Children’s Literature Festival. His latest novel for adults, “A Place to Rest,” is set in post-World War II America.
Registration is not required.
