The Library offers a variety of public services that include but are not limited to:
Wireless Internet access is available throughout the library building to anyone who possesses the devices needed to access the Internet via an un-secured network. Staff members are unable to assist with personal computer related issues. Further information can be found in our Computer Use Policy. WiFi connection is available outside the perimeter of the library 24/7.
The Bettendorf Public Library has mobile hotspots that can be checked out with your Library card. Hotspots check out for one week. Bettendorf residents can place holds on hotspots here.
Non-residents cannot place the hotspots on hold, but are welcome to check them out if they are available. Overdue fine for the hotspots is $1 per day.
A photocopier is available for public use.
For 8 1/2" x 11" copies:
● 10 cents for a black and white page
● 25 cents for a color page
For 8 1/2" x 14" or 11" x 17" copies:
● 20 cents for black and white page
● 50 cents for color page
The Library provides a free local and long-distance fax service. International faxing is not permitted. Patrons can use the fax machine during any hours the Library is open. Instructions on how to use the fax machine are posted on the fax machine. Faxes can be received at 563-344-4174. Library patrons must be at the machine to receive their fax.
A public scanning station is also available for public use. The station has a flat bed scanner as well as a document scanner. Scans can be saved to USB flash drives, emailed, saved to Google Docs, or sent to your smart device.
Federal tax forms and instruction booklets may be available for pick up from the Library during tax season. State tax forms are available online. Please contact us for availability by calling 563-344-4179 or emailing info@bettendorflibrary.com.
