library card design contest

Library Card Design Contest Details

Amateur artists of all ages are invited to share what the Bettendorf Library means to them. Winning design submissions will be featured on limited edition library cards!

During the month of April stop by our Creation Corner to design a library card to enter our contest. This contest is open to current Bettendorf Library cardholders and their minor children. We have materials available for you to draw and color at the library or you may use computed generated (not AI generated) or digital photographic images for your design.

There are four categories: Youth (9 and under), Teen/Tween (10 – 17), Adult (18 and over), and Staff (current Bettendorf Library Staff/Board members).

Do:

  • Have our logo on your design. We have stickers at the library with our logo in black and white or color or you can draw the logo on the design.
  • Read through, complete, and sign a release form and submit with your entry.
  • Submit one entry per person.
  • Turn in your completed design and submission form to staff at Bettendorf Library, or email to info@bettendorflibrary.com

Do not:

  • Put your name or initials anywhere on the design or it will be disqualified.
  • Use previously published or copyrighted images in your design.

Card dimensions:

Overall – 4.75” x 2.125”

Main card – 3.375” x 2.125”

Key fob – 1.125” x 2.125”

When designing the card, the color should extend to the outside border (the blue area), but the design/words should stay within the red border as shown below:
