Bettendorf Public Library services and facility update bettendorflibrary.com/services-and-facility-update.
The future of the Bettendorf Public Library depends on the support of those within this community. Although tax dollars fund the basic operation of the library, we need the help from other income sources in order to continue our work of helping people to read, learn, and improve the quality of their lives.
Recognizing the mission and vision of the Library Foundation, in 1991, Elizabeth Malmros donated her entire estate to the Bettendorf Public Library Foundation. She was a charter Trustee of the Bettendorf Public Library and served on the Board of Trustees until her death. Her gift totaling $150,000 enabled the foundation to establish our endowment fund. This generosity paved the way to a bright future for the library. The Malmros Society recognizes other major contributors in her name and was created in honor of Mrs. Malmros' dedication and inspiration.

They care not only about maintaining excellence in library programs and services, but in meeting tomorrow's challenges as well. The Foundation 50 is filling a critical need right here in our community.

Foundation 50 members have a common dream-that their children and their children's children will have access to the same superior public library programs and services they did. That dream moves closer to reality with every new member.
