Join us for a discussion of Ted Chiang's science fiction novella, "Story of Your Life."
"Story of Your Life" won the 2000 Nebula Award for Best Novella and is the source material for the 2016 Academy Award-winning film Arrival. It concerns an alien visitation to Earth and the attempts by the narrator, Dr. Louise Banks, to communicate with the aliens.
For our June, July, and August meetings, the Contemporary Books Discussion Group will be reading short works of science fiction to complement 2019's Summer Reading Program theme: A Universe of Stories. Copies of the readings are available at the Information Desk.
