Join Carol Ehlers for the first of several virtual presentations about American Art!
Join Carol Ehlers for the first in a series of virtual talks about American Art. Carol is a volunteer for both the Figge Art Museum and the Art Institute of Chicago. Coming in late February, 2021, the Figge Art Museum will host For America: Paintings from the National Academy of Design. This art talk series will feature some of the artists whose work will be exhibited at the Figge. Many of the works of these artists include majestic landscape paintings. Join us as we delve into the exciting world of art history! This first talk features the Hudson River Artists, including Thomas Cole, Asher B. Durand, Frederick Church, and Albert Bierstadt. This is the first program in the series. You can join in at any session, even if you have not seen the others. The first three programs are being held virtually through Bettendorf Public Library; more sessions will continue later this spring at the Butterworth Center.
Time with Art is held in partnership with the Butterworth Center & Deere-Wiman House.
